An independent learning community for kids who deserve something better.
Wilder Nevada is a whole-child, hands-on, nature-connected micro school for kids from age 6 through middle school. Small by design. Built around real learning, real relationships, and real life. High school campus currently in development.
Who We Are
Wilder Nevada is an independent learning community built from the ground up by a Nevada mom who believes children learn best through doing, making, exploring, and belonging to something real. We are not a franchise. We are not a traditional school. We are not a daycare.
This is our first campus — and we are building it to be the first of many. Small, curated, community-driven campuses across Nevada, each one intentionally designed to know every child deeply.
Body, mind, character, and spirit. Not just academics.
Making, building, cooking, creating, and solving real problems.
Daily movement and outdoor time. Joyful, active, and alive.
Technology as a tool, not the environment. We protect attention.
Parents are partners. Transparent, collaborative, community-first.
Small enough that every child is known, challenged, and seen.
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum moves outward from the inside — from knowing yourself to contributing to the world. Every Circle is explored through hands-on projects, real-world experiences, and genuine community.
Identity, strengths, confidence, and discovering your gifts.
Health, movement, coordination, and joy in the body.
Family, heritage, belonging, and cultural identity.
Building, creating, cooking, and practical life skills.
Nature, outdoor skills, and environmental awareness.
Contribution, kindness, service, and generosity.
Relationships, community, communication, and belonging.

Add-On Options
Wilder is designed to support the whole family. These optional add-ons are available during the learning day — no extra drop-off or pick-up required.
We partner with a local catering vendor to bring fresh, healthy, family-style lunch directly to our campus. Our own refrigerated buffet cart is stocked and serviced twice a week — keeping options fresh, real, and aligned with our whole-child food philosophy. No packed lunches required. Just good food, shared together.
Every quarter we bring in a rotating enrichment experience during the learning day. Some sessions are in-house with a licensed specialist who comes to us. Others take learners off-site for hands-on experiences in the real world. New quarter, new experience. Always intentional, always engaging.
Wilder provides its own in-house, licensed and insured student transportation for off-site activities and enrichment days. Families don't have to coordinate a thing — we handle the logistics so your learner never misses an experience.
We are building a full menu of add-on programming options as we grow. If there's something your family needs or something you'd love to see offered, tell us. Founding families help shape what Wilder becomes.

Meet the Founder
I'm a wife to Kevin and mom to five kids — four boys (ages 27, 21, 21, and 5) and one girl, age 7. I grew up in Missoula, Montana, studied business management at the University of Montana, and Kevin and I have been building businesses together since 2008.
Our three older boys went through public school in a top-rated district. And despite the reputation, I watched the system treat their natural curiosity and energy like problems to fix instead of strengths to build on. Year after year, we sat through meetings apologizing for having normal, active kids who loved to build things and ask questions.
When it came time for our younger two, I knew I wasn't repeating that. We found a small learning community, and for the first time, my kids weren't being asked to shrink themselves. They were encouraged to explore, think independently, and actually enjoy learning.
We don't believe in the "school → college → debt" script. Some kids will go to college. Some will learn trades. Some will build businesses. What matters is that they discover their strengths, build confidence, and learn how to think for themselves.
That's why I built Wilder. This is about protecting a place where kids can stay curious and confident — and where parents don't have to apologize for their kids being kids.
Looking forward to meeting your family.
For Families
Your child will be known. Not as a behavior number or a test score — as a unique human with strengths, questions, and possibilities.
Your child will create. More than they consume. They will make things from scratch, solve real problems, and discover they can build what they imagine.
Your child will move. Every single day. With joy.
Your child will belong. To a small, intentional community where their voice matters and they are trusted to contribute.
Campus
Our campus is privately located near Town Square in Las Vegas. Exact address shared with enrolled families and upon confirmed interest.
Secured entry, safe drop-off and pick-up area, and a private environment where your child's safety and privacy are protected.
In-house licensed and insured student transportation available for off-site activities and enrichment days.
This is Wilder Nevada's founding campus — the first of what we intend to be a network of small, curated learning communities across Nevada.
Why we keep it private until enrollmentWe believe in knowing who is on our campus at all times. Families who are seriously interested will receive the full address during our getting-to-know-you conversation. This is one small way we protect the safety and intentionality of our community from day one.
